Yacht rock, classic rock, and popular favorites from 70s to now!!
I started playing guitar at twelve. Would have been sooner, but the idea of free violin lessons first in elementary school was too appealing to my parents. After a few years of orchestra, for my birthday, I finally owned a guitar. I loved it. I took lessons and played constantly - usually rocking out to my bedroom mirror. By fourteen I took to the stage... I mean church alter. In the 70s, folk masses were all the rage, and I loved playing to a captive audience. It was the best of times. But, time marched forward. Earning university degrees throttled back my guitar time. Followed by an engineering career, marriage and children - my guitar became an object of display in my home. Years passed, kids aged, and my guitar itch returned. So I dusted off my old steel string dreadnaught, and began to play. And sing. And... I haven't stopped. I play fresh covers of classic rock, pop, and other favorites we all cranked on the car radio, blasted out the dorm room stereo, and danced to at beach parties.
I play the songs people love, and forgot they love.
So that's it... that's all about me.
Acoustically,
Laura
